We have specific instructions for how to obtain the embed code from YouTube and Vimeo:
- How can I obtain the embed code for a YouTube video?
- How can I obtain the embed code for a Vimeo video?
If your video is hosted by another video site, check the "share" options to see if the embed code is available.
However, you can always add an <iframe> "wrapper" to any URL to transform it into a rudimentary embed code.
It looks like this:
<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4aQwT3n1fjovs" height="315" width="560" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Simply replace the URL in the src=, being sure to maintain the double-quotes ("").
The <iframe> embed code can then be inserted into any of the Gutensite modules that have a text editor. Just be sure to switch to “code view” before pasting, otherwise, the system will only display the code, not actually use it.
Also, check the “Allow raw HTML” box, if available.
