How to Create a New Profile – Gutensite Help

Open the Dashboard
- In the left-side menu, click Content.
Launch the Profile Creator
- Click the Hat icon (hover text: “Create Profile”).
Select Your Profile Type
- Under Create A Profile, use the dropdown to pick:
  - Person (individual bios)
  - Community (neighborhoods, cities)
  - Office (locations)
  - Group (teams or organizations)
  - Position (roles or job titles)
  - Entity (generic profiles)
- Tip: Choose Person for individual headshots and bios; use Community when you want a broader overview of neighborhoods or regions, with maps and demographics.
Complete Core Fields
- Title: Name of the person, community, or entity
- Text: Bio, description, or overview
- Image: Upload a profile photo or representative graphic
Add Optional Details
- Contact tab: Phone, email, social links, or address
- Advanced tab: SEO metadata, custom code snippets, or extra layout options
Enable Dynamic Placement (Optional)
- To surface this profile in tagged lists or streams, add the relevant tag in the Destinations field at the top.
Preview Your Profile
- Click the 👁️ (preview) icon next to Save in the upper right.
Publish
- Hit the orange Publish Now button.
- The page will refresh, and your new profile will be live!

Pro Tip: For Community profiles, consider adding maps and statistics in the “Advanced” tab to give visitors a richer neighborhood snapshot.
