In most cases, especially on marketing-focused sites designed to guide visitors toward a specific call to action, a footer sitemap isn’t necessary and can clutter the page.
However, if your site is very large or information-heavy (for example, extensive documentation, multiple service lines, or an online catalog), a footer sitemap can help visitors:
- Get an at-a-glance overview of your content hierarchy
- Navigate quickly to deeper pages that aren’t in your main menu
To enable a footer sitemap:
- Click the cogwheel icon (Design Settings) in the upper left of any admin page
- Open the Sidebar & Footer tab
- Scroll to Footer Sitemap Menu and toggle it on
Once enabled, all top-level links and any two levels of sublinks will appear in your site’s footer, giving users a clear map of your content without relying solely on your header menu.
