As web design trends shift toward full-width layouts, many sites are ditching sidebars in favor of immersive, edge-to-edge imagery and cleaner pages. You can still surface all your subpages via dropdown menus in the header, freeing up your content area for visuals and streamlined layouts.
When a sidebar still makes sense
• Content-heavy sites: If your website hosts a lot of articles, documentation, or reference materials, a persistent sidebar helps users orient themselves and jump between sections quickly.
• More traditional audiences: Older or less tech-savvy visitors often expect a familiar, always-visible navigation panel.
How to enable it
- Open Design Settings (click the cog in the top left).
- Go to the Menu tab.
- Toggle the Sidebar Menu option on or off.
By choosing the right navigation style for your content and audience, you’ll balance visual impact with usability—ensuring visitors can find what they need without distraction.
