Parallax is a subtle scrolling effect that makes background images move more slowly than the foreground content, creating depth and visual interest. It’s enabled by default on header images, but you can toggle it off if you prefer a static background.
- Best Practice: Use parallax sparingly—no more than once per page—to keep the effect impactful without overwhelming your visitors.
Disabling Parallax
- Edit the module containing your image.
- Go to the Extras tab (just below the image uploader).
- Uncheck Enable Parallax.
Why Isn’t My Parallax Image Scrolling?
For technical performance reasons, parallax backgrounds must obey two rules:
- Spacing Rule: Each parallax module needs at least three other modules above or below it.
- Position Rule: Parallax modules cannot sit at the very top or bottom of a Landing Page.
If your image isn’t scrolling, it’s because the module is too close to another parallax module, or too close to the page’s start or end. In those cases, the background will render as a static image instead.
