How do I add filters to the sidebar of my stream?

Streams use tags to power sidebar filters. For example, if you tag items with Technology, you can let visitors filter your stream to show only those “Technology” items.

1. Plan Your Tags

• General tag (e.g. “News”) to determine which stream the item belongs in.
• Specific tags (e.g. “Technology,” “AI,” “Blockchain”) to drive the sidebar filters.

Tip: For each article in your News stream, tag it with both “News” (to include it) and one or more specific topic tags (to make it filterable).

2. Assign General Tags to Your Stream

1. Edit your stream and open the Main tab.
2. Under Dynamic Content Based on Tags, add your general tag (e.g. “News”).

3. Configure Sidebar Filters

1. Switch to the Advanced tab.
2. Find Tag-Based Filters & Search.
3. In Curated Tags to Filter, enter your specific tags in the order you want them to appear (e.g. “Technology,” “AI,” “Blockchain”).
4. Choose your display style:
   • Checkbox list
   • Clickable tag cloud

4. Save and Publish

Once you save and publish, your stream sidebar will show the filters you configured. Visitors can click or check a tag to instantly narrow the content to that topic.
